G&SR Rule No. 5.07
Forms
(i) All messages and written authorities mentioned in these rules shall be prepared on
prescribed forms laid down in these rules or prescribed under special instructions and
shall be stamped with the station stamp.
(ii) If the authorised printed form is not available for any reason or in exceptional
circumstances a manuscript form containing all the particulars as contained in the
prescribed form is issued as an emergency measure, reasons therefore shall be recorded
in the station diary.
Standardization of operating Forms on Indian Railways. (AUTHORITIES USING IN TRAIN WORKING)
T/351- S & T Disconnection/Reconnection
1. This Authority consists of three parts a. Record Copy b. Disconnection Copy c. Reconnection Copy
2. When it becomes essential to overhaul (fix) the signal gears or other signal equipment, the S & T staffs fill out this authority and turn it over to the SM.
3. After receiving this authority and personally verifying the circumstances, the SM will allow the S & T staff to disconnect with the Section Controller’s consent. The SM will paste the Disconnection Copy on the Disconnection & Reconnection Register after the S & T personnel has given them authorization to do so.
4.The S & T personnel will notify the SM by providing him with the Reconnection Memo once the signal overhaul is complete. The SM will get the Reconnection Memo after verifying that the gears and other equipment are operating correctly before signing it.
5.On the record copy, the SM will note the time of disconnection and reconnection and sign it appropriately.
T/369 (3b) Advance authority to pass the Stop Signal at ON- (RECORD, LP)
The SM permits the LP permission to pass any STOP SIGNAL at ON.
The private number obtained upon receiving line clearance from the station beforehand is recorded on this authority if it is granted to pass the station’s Last Stop Signal on the double line at ON.
The Approaching and Departure signals must pass these authorities at ON, and they are sent independently.
While passing any signal in its ON state, the train’s speed cannot be greater than 15 km/h. The aforementioned speed restriction is not observed if there are no points beyond the Advance Starter Signal.
The SM must make sure that all of the points are properly set and that the facing points are clamped and pad locked before issuing this authority.
T/409 Caution Order
- The LP, ALP, and Guard are given caution orders for their knowledge of and compliance with the section’s temporary speed limits.
- This is sent to all LP and guards of the trains stopped at the Caution Notice Station. As needed, it can be issued from any station.
- The contains information on the issuing station, the section,/ the total number of sped restriction, the location’s kilmeter nomber,/ the names of the stations where the speed restriction is in effect,/ the speed limit, the reason for the speed restriction – and other details.
- It will be signed by the SM and sealed with a station stamp.
- They are arranged according to geography.
- Instead of using code, the stations’ names need to be written in their full.
- The remainng speeed limits must be writtenn on the following page, and the pages are numbered sequentially, if there are several speed restrictions that do not fit on a single page.
- The Caution Order’s record copies were held for a period of 12 months.
- The Caution Order prohibits overwriting. It should instead be canceled and reissued.
T/A 409 – Nil Caution Order
- The LP, Guard, and ALP are given a Nil Caution Order if there are no temporary speed limits between two caution notice stations.
- The nil caution order includes the name of the issuing station, the date and time of issue, the train number, the SM’s signature, and the station seal.
T/B 409 – Reminder Caution Order
- The Guard, ALP, and LP are all subject to this Reminder Caution Order in the event of pushing back.
- This authority has all the information, such as T/A 409.
T/509 – Authority for Receiving Train on an Obstructed Line
- The LP was only granted this authority if his train was caught in an obstructed line.
- The LP was only granted this authority if his train was caught in an obstrThis authority records the following information: the name of the issuing station, the date and hour of issue, the train number, the details of the obstructed line, the details of the signals to be passed at ON, the SM’s signature, the station seals, etc.ucted line.
- The SM must make sure that all the points are correctly set and that the facing points are clamped, pad locked, and set before providing this authority.
- The train will be guided in up to the line’s first facing point.
T/511 – Authority to Start the Train from a Non-Signaled Line
- This permission is given to the LP by the SM if the train is to begin from a line without a starter signal.
- Details like Name of the issuing station, date & time of issue, train No., Line No., signature of the SM etc. are mentioned in this authority.
- Thish authoritty mention informations such as the name of the issuing station, the date and hour of issue, the train number, the line number, the SM’s signature, etc.
- This authority includes information about any tokens or paper line clear tickets that are given to the LP.
T/512 – Authority to start from a line provided with Common Starter
- The SM gives the LP this authority (T/512) and turns off the common starter signal if the train is to begin from a line that has one.
- The details like name of the station, date & time, train No., description of the line from which the train is to start, details of the any other Authority to Proceed, signature of the SM, seal of the station etc. are mentioned in this authority.
T/A 602 -Authority to send Assisting Engine/Train to the Obstructed Block Section
- This Authority has three parts a. Block Ticket to Proceed without line clear, b. Authority to pass the signals at ON, c. Caution Order.
- This authority mentionns informatiion such as the nam of the issuing station, the date and time, the train number, the name of the blocked block section, the kilometer number of the obstacle, the specifics of the signals that must be passed at ON, any speed restrictions, etc.
T/B 602 – Authority issued to the LP of the vehicle going to obtain line clear during ACF on Single Line
- This authority consists of five parts: a. Authority to proceed without line clear. b. Authority to pass signals in ON position. c. Caution Order. d. Line clear enquiry message. e. Conditional line clear message.
- This authority mentions the following: the name of the issuing station, the time, the date, the engine or self-propelled vehicle details, the station name in advance, the signals to be passed at ON, the caution order, the name of the train for which line clear is to be inquired, the private number for conditional line clear message, and the speed restriction.
T/C 602 – Authority for working of train during ACF on Double Line Section
- This Authority consists of three parts a. Authority to proceed without line clear, b. Authority to pass the signals at their ON position c. Caution Order.
- This authority includes information such as the issuing station’s name, date and time, train number, station name in advance, any speed limitations, a description of the signals to be passed at ON, the SM’s signature, and more.
T/D 602 – Authority for TSL (temporary single line) working on Double Line
- SM gives this authority to the Guard and LP when TSL is working on the double line.
- It has three parts a. Line Clear Ticket, b. Authority to pass the signals at their ON position, c. Caution Order.
- The caution order includes information such as the line to be utilized during TSL, the number of kilometers of obstacle, and the speed limit of 25 KMPH for the first train subject to other speed limits. Information on the trap spots, how to clamp them, the caution sequence in effect, etc., and a warning to follow the neutral section if you are moving in the wrong direction.
- This authority includes information such as the name of the issuing station, date and time, train number, station name in advance, private number received upon line clear, speed restrictions (if any), description of the signals to be relayed at ON, name of the IBS or “C” Class Stations (if any) that are no longer in use, and the SM’s signature, among other things.
- Important information is supplied that the LP must closely follow, such as the first train’s speed limit of 25 KMPH and instructions to notify the gate man, gang man, and others about the start of TSL operations.
T/E 602 – Line Clear Enquiry Message during ACF on Single Line
- This authority is provided to request line clear for subsequent trains on T/B 602 whenever it becomes essential to request line clear for several trains on a single line during ACF.
- Name of the issuing station, date & time of issue, name of the station in advance, descriptions of the trains for which line clear is being asked, signature of the SM, station’s seal etc. are mentioned in this authority.
T/F 602 – Conditional Line Clear Message
- The SM sent another SM a Line Clear Enquiry Message (T/E 602), and this authority was provided in response.
- Name of the issuing station, name of the station requesting line clear, date and hour of issue, train name and number, Pvt. No.issued for line clear in both words and numbers, SM’s signature, station seal, etc. are all mentioned.
T/G 602 (UP), T/H 602 (DN) – CONDITIONAL LINE CLEAR TICKET
- The LP is given the go-ahead to proceed during ACF on a single line once they get Line Clear as a response to the SM’s conditional line clear inquiry message, to which Line Clear was requested.
- This authority includdes the folllowing – : the name of the issuing station, the station’s name in advance, the date and time, the Pvt.No.that was received online in a clear and legible format, the train number, the SM’s signature, etc.
- This authority is also given to the LP of the train that must be despatched after 30 minutes if Line Clear has been received for multiple trains. In this instance, the train’s speed cannot be greater than 25/10 KMPH. This authority must also include the descriptions of the trains that arrive 30 minutes before and those that arrive 30 minutes after.
T/I – 602 MESSAGE ON RESTORATION OF ANY ONE OF THE MEANS OF COMMUNICATION
- When any one of the means of communication is restored to its normal functioning after All Communication Fail (ACF), this authority is filled up by SMs of the stations at both ends.
- The SMs share information about train movements during ACF, and they also trade private numbers to receive descriptions of the latest train departing their station.
