Kash Patel is an Indian American who Trump appointed as the director of the FBI.

In the incoming Trump administration, Indian American Kash Patel was nominated on Saturday, November 30, 2024, for the famous position of Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

“I have the pleasure to declare that Kashyap ‘Kash’ Patel will take over as the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s next director. “Kash is an excellent attorney, investigator, and ‘America First’ warrior who has dedicated his professional life to exposing, supporting the rule of law, and protecting the American people,” Mr. Trump declared on his own social media network, Truth Social.

Kash is a brilliant lawyer, investigator, and ‘America First’ fighter who has spent his career exposing corruption, defending Justice, and protecting the American People,” Mr. Trump announced on Truth Social, a social media platform he owns.

Mr. Trump said Mr. Patel played a pivotal role in uncovering “the Russia, Russia, Russia Hoax,” standing as an advocate for truth, accountability, and the Constitution. Mr. Patel, 44, served as chief of staff to the Acting United States Secretary of Defense in the last few weeks of the Trump Administration in 2017.

Born in 1980 in New York City, Kash Patel was the son of Gujarati immigrant family.He read international law at University College London after getting his law degree from Pace University.

The Career of Kash Patel

Patel worked as a public defender before going into politics. He then went  become a federal prosecutor, handling cases engauge international terrorism.In 2017, he began his career in the administration as a deputy to Representative Devin Nunes, who was looking into  Russian meddling in the 2016 election.Patel earned famous for penning the notorious “Nunes Memo,” which was intended to damage the FBI’s research into Russian meddling in the 2016 election.
